A heater sold in the UK could cause a serious risk

British shoppers have been alerted of a product recall for a heater they may be using in their homes.

The plug-in heater could cause a "serious risk of electric shock" when used.

A warning was shared by the Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS), which urged customers to stop using the item immediately.

It has been recalled from end users and the faulty batches are no longer on sale.

"Owners should stop using the product immediately. Contact the distributor you purchased from to request redress."

This comes as shoppers were warned that a gift set sold in Boots was recalled as it is unsafe to use.

The Radley Cosy Up Ribbed Socks and Ceramic Mug could crack and separate when used, meaning it "presents a risk of burns".

Shoppers should return it to the store where it was bought for a full refund, and let their loved ones know if they have given it as a gift.
