Britons who shop at Amazon have been issued a warning as a ladder presents a "serious risk of injuries".
The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) notified customers that the LMSTARZ 3.8m Telescopic Ladder is unsafe to use. Affected customers have been contacted directly and told what to do.

'The ladders present a serious risk of injuries'
OPSS
The OPSS stated: "The ladders present a serious risk of injuries as the locking mechanism on the rungs can fail, potentially resulting in the user falling unexpectedly.
"When unlocking and sliding the ladder up, the ladder may also pose a risk of crushing the user’s hands as under the weight of the upper sections, the ladder falls in an uncontrolled manner.
"The markings and users’ instructions do not state the ladder’s class and some of the other required documentation was not present.
"The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.
"The product has been recalled from end users by Amazon. The listing has been removed by the online marketplace (Amazon).
"Affected end users have been contacted directly and are advised to return their product to their place of purchase.
"Consumers are advised to contact their Amazon seller via the following link: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/css/order-history?ref_=nav_orders_first."
