Despite dealing with skin concerns like melasma, Nina has managed to improve her complexion through a carefully curated routine of active ingredients and skin care steps.

Her approach focuses particularly on retinol, vitamin C and niacinamide to boost skin renewal and stimulate collagen formation.

The evening routine starts with a thorough cleansing process, using a cleansing balm and cotton pad to remove all traces of makeup.

Following this, Nina moves on to a toner, emphasising the importance of the importance of this step for a deeper cleanse.

"I use a toner and no matter how well I clean my skin and no matter how hard I rub, [the] toner gets rid of all the residual grub. It does some deep, deep, deep cleaning," she shared.

In order to target her specific skin concerns, Nina incorporates a pigment gel into her routine.

"I have melasma but it's gotten so much better and that is due to using a pigment gel," she notes."I am very diligent about doing all of these steps every single night."

The final phase of Nina's routine centres on powerful active ingredients, including niacinamide and retinol, which are known to promote skin cell renewal.

Retinol, a vitamin A derivative, plays a crucial role in her regimen, though it can occasionally cause mild irritation.

Nine emphasised the importance of eye care, noting that a specialised retinol product is key for the delicate eye area.

"Let's not forget our retinol for our eyes. This makes my eyes feel so good. If you don't have retinol in your eye cream then you're basically doing nothing," she advised.

While most active ingredients can be purchased over the counter, consulting a dermatologist beforehand will minimise the risk of complications.
