A doctor has exclusively discussed some of the best products to include in your daily routine
Britons should reach for different products depending on the time of day they are being applied.
Speaking to GB News, a doctor discussed the benefits of toner and eye cream specifically.
She said these are two of the best products to incorporate into your night time routine, along with a cleanser and moisturiser.
Global skin doctor and cosmetic formulator at SkincarebyDrV Dr Vanita Rattan said a toner can make your skin look better almost straight away.
Different products should be used in the morning and evening

The doctor said: "Hydrating toners are optional in the morning for a refreshing feel, but they are highly recommended after cleansing at night.
"These toners are packed with humectants like glycerin and water. When applied, the toner dampens the skin, slightly separating the skin cells to allow for more effective penetration of the actives you apply afterwards.
"Thanks to the hydrating ingredients in toners, your skin should appear plumper and feel bouncier after application.
"At SkincarebyDrV, one of our best sellers is our Super Hydrating Toner which contains non-drying alcohol which does not dry or irritate the skin, antioxidants, humectants and anti-pigmentation ingredients. As always, all of the skin care products I design are formulated without fragrance, essential oils or denatured alcohol."
Toner can be used morning and night, but it is most effective as part of your evening skin care routine.
Eye cream, on the other hand, is a beneficial product that is best used in the evening only, according to the doctor. The expert advised choosing one with retinol as this has many anti-ageing benefits.
Dr Rattan added: "I always recommend applying eye creams at night time as they tend to contain retinol in them.
"Retinol is the heralded ingredient for anti-ageing, helping to target dark circles and wrinkles.

Dr Vanita Rattan
"Since retinol is photosensitive, meaning it can break down and become less effective when exposed to sunlight, applying it at night ensures that it works effectively without the risk of UV damage.
"Applying an eye cream at night allows you to address these concerns effectively while your skin is in its natural repair mode.
"In the evening, after you double cleanse and tone, apply your Triple Action Eye Cream, followed by your moisturiser."
