Thicker and fuller-looking hair can be achieved by following hair care advice
Hair loss and baldness in men become more common with age and, while this can be genetic and unavoidable, some hair loss can be prevented.
Speaking exclusively to GB News, an expert shared how the products you use can transform your hair.
Applying oils and using the right shampoos can lead to a "thicker, healthier mane", according to founder of The Gents Place Ben Davis explained.
He said how you apply oils can also make a difference, and doing this while massaging the scalp can promote growth.
Some oils help the appearance of your hair
PAThe expert explained: "Give your scalp some attention. A healthy scalp means healthy hair.
"Massage it regularly - this boosts blood flow to the hair follicles and encourages growth.
"If you’re up for it, try using an oil like rosemary or tea tree. These can work wonders for both your scalp and hair."
A 2015 study published in the National Library of Medicine looked at the effects of rosemary essential oil on the hair. It found using this product could protect against hair loss.
Tea tree oil has also been suggested to make hair stronger and reduce frizziness. These can be used every week, or more regularly if required.
Using the wrong shampoo can also be detrimental to the health and condition of your hair, Ben added. Look for sulfate-free products.
The expert explained: "A lot of guys use shampoos that are too harsh, stripping their hair of natural oils. Instead, look for sulfate-free options specifically designed for men.
"These not only clean but also nourish your hair. We recommend products that protect and enhance your hair without unnecessary chemicals."
