Waitrose warns customers some food has been labelled with the wrong use-by date

Shoppers are warned of a potential safety risk
WAITROSE
The above Waitrose bhajis were recalled as the use by date was not correct.
This could cause a health problem for anyone who eats the food when it is not in date.
The supermarket giant shared advice for anyone who had purchased the snack.
It said: "We are recalling the above product as the use by date on the product’s packaging is incorrect.
"Do not consume, package up item [and] return the product to your local Waitrose & Partners branch for a refund.
"Contact Waitrose Customer Care on 0800 188 884, Option 4.
"We apologise that it has been necessary to recall this product and for the inconvenience caused."
The Food Standards Agency added: "Waitrose and Partners are recalling Waitrose 8 Red Onion Bhajis with a Date and Tamarind Dip because of a labelling error which shows an incorrect use by date, making them unsafe to eat."
The food was sold over the Christmas period as part of the supermarket's festive range.
Waitrose shoppers were also urged not to eat cheese that could be contaminated by E. Coli bacteria.
