Waitrose has partnered with organic matcha brand PerfectTed to introduce new matcha drinks across all 127 of its cafés starting this week.
The collaboration brings two new offerings to customers: Strawberry Matcha Latte and Vanilla Matcha Latte, both made with organic, ceremonial-grade matcha.
The partnership marks Waitrose's first venture into serving matcha drinks in its café locations, responding to growing customer interest in the Japanese green tea powder.
Waitrose has reported a dramatic surge in matcha-related searches on its website over the past three months.

Searches for matcha powder have increased by 676 per cent on Waitrose.com, while general matcha searches are up 133 per cent.
The rising interest reflects customers' growing awareness of matcha's health benefits and its reputation as a slow-release caffeine alternative. The new drinks will be available for £3.95.
Head of food service at Waitrose Rachel Dowsett said: "We're so excited to be working with PerfectTed to offer matcha drinks in our cafés for the first time.
"Matcha is becoming more and more popular, and we want to make sure our customers can enjoy high-quality, trend-led, delicious drinks.
"This partnership is a great way for customers to try our amazing matcha selection before buying it in-store."
This is not the only food change Waitrose has announced, as it has expanded its Portuguese offerings, introducing a new Lemon Iced Bolo de Arroz for £1.40 at in-store bakery counters.
The recent Portuguese cake launch also follows increased customer interest, with searches for Pastel de Natas up 137 per cent in the past 90 days.
The new Portuguese Lemon Iced Bolo de Arroz represents a hybrid twist on the traditional recipe, featuring a lemon curd filling and sweet lemon icing.

Made in collaboration with a Porto-based bakery established in 1986, the cake combines rice and wheat flour for a distinctively light texture.
Patisserie product developer at Waitrose Serena Jackson added: "We know our customers are all about exploration in food and we're seeing an increasingly popular culinary trend towards citrus fruits as customers turn to specific regions for the taste and quality cues they desire."
The launch aligns with rising patisserie sales, which are up nine per cent compared to last year.
