Waitrose launches 19 new Easy to Cook products to cater for comfort food cravings - full list

Waitrose product developer Simona Cohen-Vida-Welsh said: “Our Easy to Cook range focuses on providing our customers with quick and healthy meals that require less prep.

“With 36 meals now in the range, we know our customers will find something they love.

“The ingredients in the dishes are all sourced from our known and trusted suppliers - for example, the smoked haddock in our new Smoked Haddock & Cod Gratin is responsibly sourced from the same smokery that supplied our fish service counters, allowing us to maintain the same high quality and standards that our customers expect from us.”

Several additions to the range cater to a growing demand for fish-based meals.

Waitrose Easy to Cook buyer Julia Newlands explained: “Our customers are huge fans of our Easy to Cook chicken and pork options, but we have also seen a growing trend for fish-based recipes at Waitrose.

“Searches for our ‘fish pie’ and ‘fish paella’ recipes are both up 273 per cent and 87 per cent this year, respectively, so to cater to this growing trend, we have introduced three new meals including our Scottish Salmon En Croûte, Salmon & Sweet Potato Curry and Smoked Haddock & Cod Gratin which are all responsibly sourced.

“The new Chorizo & Manchego Stuffed Chicken Breasts (£6.50) is a personal favourite of mine and is made with higher welfare chicken breast fillets that are stuffed with slices of smoky chorizo and manchego cheese, topped with paprika crumb - all you need to do is pop it in the oven in its foil tray, serve some warmed couscous and a side of broccoli for a super easy, warming dinner.”

The latest additions to the Easy to Cook range will be available as part of the Fuss Free Meal Deal from July 31.

This allows customers to enjoy one main dish and two sides for just £8. The offer will end on August 27.

Waitrose Sweet Chilli Chicken Breasts (£5) - Two tender, higher welfare chicken breast fillets in an aromatic marinade with chilli, garlic and chilli flakes, and a sachet of sweet and sticky sweet chilli sauce.

Waitrose Honey, Soy & Ginger Chicken Breasts (£5) - Two tender, higher welfare chicken breast fillets in a garlic and ginger glaze, with a sachet of sweet and sticky honey, soy and ginger sauce.

Waitrose Lemon & Herb Chicken Breasts (£5) - Two tender, higher welfare chicken breast fillets in a zingy, Greek-influenced mint, oregano, garlic and lemon marinade, with feta cheese, juicy cherry tomatoes and black olives.

Waitrose Indian Inspired Spiced Mango Chicken Breasts (£5) - Two tender, higher welfare chicken breast fillets in an aromatic, warmly spiced masala marinade with onion puree, lemon zest, mango puree and garlic, with a sweet and sticky mango chutney.

Waitrose Mushroom & Mascarpone Chicken Breasts (£6.50) - Two tender, higher welfare chicken breast fillets stuffed with garlic and mascarpone melt, with chestnut mushrooms and a creamy, deeply savoury woodland mushroom sauce made with champignons, oyster mushrooms, porcini and shiitake.

Waitrose Chorizo & Manchego Stuffed Chicken Breasts (£6.50) - Two tender, higher welfare chicken breast fillets stuffed with slices of smoky chorizo and a manchego cheese melt and topped with a smoked paprika crumb. To complement the richness of the dish, the stuffed chicken comes in a tomato sauce with yellow peppers.

Waitrose Roast Chicken Dinner (£6.50) - Tender, higher welfare chicken breasts, skin on to cook crisp and golden, with succulent pork chipolatas, meaty stuffing balls made with pork sausagemeat, onion and sage, and a rich chicken gravy.

Waitrose Gammon Steaks with Cheese Rarebit Melt (£5.00) - Succulent outdoor bred gammon steaks with a rich, deeply savoury Cheddar cheese rarebit melt made with ale, apple and a touch of mustard, that perfectly complements the flavour of the gammon.

Waitrose Sweet & Sour Pork (£5) - Outdoor bred pork shoulder, brined so it's tender and succulent and marinated with aromatic char siu spices, in a tangy sweet and sour sauce with pieces of pineapple and mixed peppers.

Waitrose Spicy Pork Shoulder Curry (£6.50) - Outdoor bred pork shoulder, brined for tenderness and marinated with spices, coconut, roasted garlic and chilli, in a Sri Lankan-inspired black curry sauce. The fragrant curry is made with coconut, fried onions and tamarind, delicately spiced, and topped with pickled red onions.

Waitrose Marinated Pork Loin Roast (£6.50) - Succulent, juicy outdoor bred pork loin in a honey, garlic and rosemary marinade with a blossom honey glaze.

Waitrose Lemon & Herb Rolled Pork Roast (£8) - Inspired by the classic Italian dish porchetta, succulent outdoor bred pork belly rolled with aromatic herb, lemon, garlic and fennel that infuses the meat with flavour as it cooks.

Waitrose Pork & Herb Sausage Casserole (£5) - Succulent, juicy outdoor bred pork and herb sausages in a hearty tomato sauce with roasted mushrooms, carrots, smoky bacon lardons and cannellini beans.

Waitrose Chilli Con Carne Beef Meatballs (£5) - Succulent meatballs made with higher welfare British beef, in a lightly spiced chilli con carne sauce with tomatoes, kidney beans and red peppers, made with a touch of dark chocolate for a really rich, deep flavour.

Waitrose Middle Eastern Inspired Spiced Beef Koftas (£5) - Succulent, juicy British beef koftas, lightly spiced with chilli, cumin, paprika and black pepper, in a Middle Eastern inspired baharat sauce with notes of cinnamon, cayenne pepper, nutmeg, cardamom and cloves. The dish is topped with chickpeas and charred courgette.

Waitrose Salt & Pepper Beef Roast (£8) - A tender, succulent higher welfare British beef roasting joint with beef dripping melt seasoned with salt, pepper and herbs.

Waitrose Scottish Salmon En Croûte (£6.50) - Succulent Scottish salmon pieces in a creamy cheese and chive sauce, hand-wrapped in crisp, latticed puff pastry.

Waitrose Salmon & Sweet Potato Curry (£7.50) - Chunks of succulent marinated Scottish salmon, sweet potato and red pepper, in a creamy coconut curry sauce.

Waitrose Smoked Haddock & Cod Gratin (£7.50) - Chunky pieces of traditionally smoked MSC haddock and cod in a rich, creamy Mature Cheddar sauce, topped with cheesy breadcrumbs.
