M&S stated this is a world-first in bottle technology, requiring no traditional activation methods like buttons or switches.
The technology relies on touch sensors on either side of the bottle, activating the festive display through "very clever science".
The new festive drink has generated significant buzz on social media, with over 7,000 likes, comments and shares across Instagram and Facebook.
Enthusiastic shoppers have flooded social platforms with positive reactions, with one customer declaring: "Always pulling it out the bag M&S!!! This is so cute".
"Omg!! This is fab," wrote another shopper, while more expressed eagerness to purchase the product, with comments including, "I need to get it this weekend!!" and "Definitely on my list".
Lead product developer at M&S Jenny Rea said: "Our new Mince Pie Liqueur is a true festive showstopper, blending the classic flavours of sweet vine fruits, zesty lemon peel and warming spices.
"We know shoppers see us as the go-to destination for the original and best light-up liqueurs, however we're especially excited for them to see this year's unique edition which is our most innovative yet.
"No need to press any buttons - simply touch either side of the bottle to see the Christmas tree on the label instantly illuminate thanks to some very clever science.

"So as well as tasting like Christmas in a glass, our mince pie liqueur really does add that extra sparkle to any festive occasion."
The drink can be enjoyed neat, served over ice, or poured over ice cream for a decadent dessert. The product is available at M&S Foodhalls and Ocado.com.
M&S first pioneered light-up liqueur bottles in 2020. Alongside the new Mince Pie Liqueur, the retailer has brought back their popular Clementine Gin Liqueur Snow Globe, priced at £20.
The returning favourite comes in a gift box and features a 23-carat gold leaf and a light-up bottle design, making it ideal for Christmas gifting. M&S suggested serving the Clementine Gin Liqueur topped with tonic or prosecco for the perfect festive drink.
