Britons can't wait to try the new Cheddar cheese and Marmite sarnie found at M&S
Marks and Spencer has just launched a sandwich that combines cheddar cheese with the divisive spread, Marmite.
Britons have flocked to social media with their verdicts, with Marmite fans over the moon with the concoction. The M&S sandwich contains Cheddar cheese, cream cheese and Marmite yeast extract on white bread.
This comes as Aldi introduces an "irresistible" and "tantalising" £4 lunch dish available from now.
Despite Marmite's coining of the slogan 'Love it or hate it', it seems that M&S' new sandwich has gone down a treat so far.
'Oh my! Why has this never been a thing before now?'

One M&S shopper said: "Had this sandwich yesterday, absolutely banging sandwich." A second added: "OMG, I bet that was delicious."
Another seconded this: "Yum! I’ve always eaten cheese and Marmite. So good to try the M&S version."
Many Marmite fans have seemingly been wanting to get their hands on a supermarket-bought Marmite and cheese sandwich for years. A shopper was delighted that the M&S sarnie had "finally" arrived.
One shopper said: "Oh my! Why has this never been a thing before now? My Grandma always made us cheese, lettuce and Marmite sandwiches for our train journey home whenever we visited her as children."
Another couldn't believe their luck: "OMG, literally the best sandwich filling!!!" One more called it their "favourite combo."
But while the Cheddar cheese and Marmite combo certainly amazed some shoppers, not everyone was impressed.
One sceptical shopper claimed the sandwich looked "dry". Another thought it was a pointless creation. They said: "So much cheaper and easier to make your own."
Another thought the sandwich could do with some additional ingredients. The shopper said it "needs some lettuce or cucumber for crunch".
But another sarnie connoisseur suggested that a different ingredient should be ditched: "Why would you add cream cheese to a perfect sandwich?!"
This comes as M&S launches 12 new pizzas with 20 per cent more toppings from £3.75.
The "delicious" pizza flavours boast 20 per cent more toppings than its classic range.

Many pizza fans praised the supermarket for its new items. One said: "We had the chicken tikka pizza at the weekend. It was delicious. I don’t like pizza, but that is delicious - 10/10."
But others felt their dietary requirements had not been catered for. One wrote: "Are there any new gluten-free pizzas? Would be nice to have a choice of toppings."
A second agreed: "Would be nice to have GF and dairy-free options, not only on pizza but generally in the store."
M&S replied: "Hi - these aren't gluten-free, but your feedback has been logged to our team for the future."
