Marks & Spencer has added a new roast that will be served in its cafés
Marks & Spencer has updated its café menu with a new roast described as "incredible".
Some customers have already said they are eager to try the new flavour.
The retailer shared the news with a post on Instagram. It read: "Steaming hot café news. In need of a little more R&R in your life?
"Our incredible new Roast & Ritual coffee is just the ticket."
M&S customers can try the new flavour
M&S
The new blend was created by M&S Food and will be available in cafés. The company shared more details and claimed customers will "love it".
It added: "We've moved to a medium-light roast meaning more flavour, less bitterness. It has flavours of candied nuts and dried fruit, with a long, sweet finish - yum.
"It's made with 100 per cent hand-picked, specialty-graded Brazilian, Ethiopian and Peruvian Arabica beans – only the very best quality beans make the cut.
"It works perfectly in any style of brew (did you know all of our espresso-based coffees are made to speciality coffee brew standards?)."
M&S added that its drink is 100 per cent Fairtrade and 1p from every cup being donated to its Cup of Ambition fund to "empower tea and coffee farming communities across the world".
Customers have already headed to the comment section to share their excitement.
One put the "clapping hands" emoji, while another left the "running man" emoji, implying they will be quick to test the new flavour. Another wrote: "Can't wait to try it!" and posted the "heart eyes" emoji.
Marks & Spencer added this makes them "the first national retailer to offer specialty coffee at such scale".
This comes as M&S delighted fans as a "delicious" food returns to shelves.
