Lidl customers have gone wild over a sweet treat found at the discount supermarket.
Across Facebook and Instagram, Britons rejoiced over new Eton Mess Blondies at Lidl bakeries. Newfoodsuk posted: "Eton Mess Blondies spotted at Lidl." This was accompanied by a picture of the bakery treat (costing 89p) and the words "limited offer".
One delighted customer said: "These were made by the gods." Another called it Lidl's "best baked good yet".
A third customer said: "They've been there for a week or two. Absolutely phenomenal." One customer said they "look lush".

Another praised the dessert as "epic" after "buying one on a whim the other day". One excited customer said: "These are AMAZINGGGGGGGGGG."
An enthusiastic Lidl customer rejoiced: "Had one today! Delicious!" Another called them "insane!!"
A social media user said: "I actually had one of these this morning, had to share though. It was soooo good!"
Those who haven't yet sampled the glorious baked good can't wait to get their hands on it: "Omg, these look absolutely heavenly." Another said: "OMG! I need this!"
The comments section was flooded with Lidl shoppers tagging their loved ones to share the exciting news.
On Lidl UK's official website, the Eton Mess Blondie is listed as a "Special Guest".
It will be available in stores until July 31, launching just days ago on July 4.
Lidl's "Special Guest" collection also includes the Poppy Seeded Roll, which will sit on Lidl bakery shelves for the same time frame.
