The unusual variation of the classic biscuit has been found at Farmfoods

Jammie dodgers have enjoyed unwavering popularity over the last six decades, and now there's a new flavour in town.

The 'ba-na'na' biscuit, launched in 2022, has been spotted on shelves at Farmfoods, but it's causing a stir online.

The banana flavour replaces the biscuit's classic jam-packed filling loved by Britons.

But shoppers who are only just discovering the new flavour have expressed mixed feelings online.

“I bet they’re minging,” wrote one person under a post shared by @newfoodsuk, while another quipped: “Can’t think of anything worse.”

News of the latest flavour also caused a stir on Facebook, where one person labelled the flavour “a crime.”

Another person wrote: “Tried them. They are nasty,” another one person wrote: “They look absolutely awful.”

Others were keen to give the new flavour a go given that it retails for less than £1.

Another conflicted shopper shared: “Sounds vile but 69p for Jammie Dodgers. Sign me up.”

One person quipped: “I would like these please thank you,” while another echoed: “These look nice.”

Shoppers can head to Farm Foods to get their hands on the treat or order it online from Amazon or eBay.

You can use the Farm Foods store locator tool on the retailer’s website to find your nearest store.

The banana-filled shortbread sandwiches were first launched in the UK in July 2022 following the release of the Minions film.

Burton’s Biscuits states they have lovingly baked the “delicious shortcake sandwiches" filled with a sticky splat of jammy mischief for more than half a century.

It comes as Cadbury has left shoppers gobsmacked after launching its Christmas advent calendar at the height of summer.

A picture of the festive treat was shared by @newfoodsuk, with the caption: “New Cadbury Dairy Milk Creamy Advent Calendar! We got ours from Cadbury Gifts Direct!”

Several shoppers rushed to the comments to share their disappointment over the timing of Cadbury’s stock release.

“It’s August,” wrote one user, while another added: “I’m sorry but what happened to living in the present month? Trying to enjoy summer but having autumn/Xmas thrown at us MONTHS in advance."
