Speaking to GB News, a fitness pro shared a complete exercise guide for weight loss. Now, he has exclusively detailed four additional tips for success.


Fitness trainer and advisor for BlissTrax Chris Hudson said cardio and strength exercises should be combined to burn fat and create definition.

He also shared four diet and lifestyle pillars that will guarantee "weight loss success".

This includes eating foods high in protein, drinking plenty of water, getting enough rest and sticking to your workout routine.

Prioritise nutrition

Chris said: "Pair workouts with a high-protein, whole-food-based diet."

Eating protein is great when working out as it helps you to build and maintain muscle. It is also satiating, which means you can feel fuller while eating fewer calories.

Good examples of protein include meat, fish, nuts, tofu, eggs, dairy and protein supplements. The expert suggested pairing these with other whole foods, such as fruits, vegetables and whole grains.

Stay consistent

Chris said it is important to follow an exercise plan rigidly, explaining: "Stick with the routine for at least eight to 12 weeks to see significant results."

Hydrate

The expert added: "Drink enough water to support metabolism and muscle recovery."

Water can boost the metabolism, which is the part of your body responsible for fat-burning. It can also suppress your appetite as thirst can be mistaken for hunger.

While it can be tempting to go hard with your exercise plan every day, rest is vital for the recovery of your muscles. The expert said: "Sleep and rest days are essential for muscle repair and fat loss."
