Seemingly healthy options such as fruit juice and granola bars could be derailing your weight loss efforts
A healthy diet is essential if you want to lose weight. Slimmers are advised to stock up on vegetables, proteins and wholegrain carbs, whilst limiting saturated fats and foods laden with added salt and sugar.
Women's weight loss coach Jenna Rizzo (@jennaaaamariee on TikTok) took to the sharing platform to share five foods and drinks women should avoid to see results.
The weight loss guru said: "My name's Jenna and I've helped over 300 women lose weight."
Jenna encouraged slimmers to avoid consuming frozen meals such as pizzas and chicken nuggets.
Pre-bought fruit juices are often 'nothing but sugar'

Granola bars are another food to avoid. While they may appear healthy, filled with oats, dried fruit and sometimes nuts, they contain plenty of calories for what is typically a small bar.
Jenna warned: "It's not going to keep you full and all the extra sugar is just going to make you crave more junk food."
Last on the expert's banned food list was "anything that is labelled gluten-free, keto or vegan friendly".
According to the expert, these buzzwords are "marketing tactics to make you think that what you're eating is healthy, when most of the time it's not". She warned that oftentimes these are "glorified junk food".
In the comments section, Jenna explained: "I'm not referring to people who have coeliac disease but rather the people who buy it thinking it's healthier or going to help them lose weight".
For slimmers who are after real results, it's also important to consider the calories and nutritional value of your drinks as well as your foods, as this is often forgotten about.
The expert discouraged consuming high-calorie cold coffee drinks that contain syrup. She explained that these are comprised of "a bunch of processed sugar".
The expert also recommended ditching fruit juices. While these may seem healthy - after all, "fruit" is in the name - they could be causing accidental weight gain.
Jenna warned slimmers that these juices are "nothing but sugar". They also do not make the body feel full, so you're likely to be reaching for snacks soon after.
