Contrary to popular belief, the most effective strategies rarely involve tireless exercise routines.


One woman in her mid-20s is living proof that habits like walking do wonders for melting fat.

The content creator, who goes by @cosywithnoon on TikTok, claimed walking 10,000 steps a day helped her shed more than 3st in five months.

The fat "melted off" even more rapidly when she followed a keto and low-carb diet, the slimmer claimed.

“Here’s how I lost 22 kilos in five months - for context, I am 5'5 and 25 years old and when I started this I was at 89 kilos," she said.

“I was big, I was unhealthy, I was unhappy, I was insecure. None of my clothes would fit me, I was the biggest I have ever been in my life. I didn’t want to go out and I had no discipline.”

The dieter knew she wanted to turn her life around before turning 26, and began by upping her step count.

“Number one I started doing 10,000 steps a day, and this has been the best thing I have ever done with my life," she said.

“Guys, not only does your fat start to melt - literally melt off - I was losing weight like crazy, and I’m still losing weight.”

The TikToker's mental health also benefited from the habit. She added: “I am someone who overthinks, and I take on so much, so it’s been great for my mental health."

To further enhance her weight loss, she adhered to a low-carb, keto diet, adding: “For the past three months I have not had sugar and I have not had bread. I have not had potatoes, pasta, pizza, pastries or any of these things.

“Those are the three things I’ve been doing; consistency and discipline, low-carb diet and 10,000 steps.”

The ketogenic diet, commonly known as keto, has garnered significant attention for its purported health and weight loss benefits.

The eating plan does not suit everyone, however, according to nutritionist Daniel Herman.

The expert previously told GB News: "The ketogenic (keto) diet is a low-carbohydrate, high-fat eating plan that aims to shift the body's metabolism into a state called ketosis."
