Guy Ritchie has shared his diet tips after losing one stone

Director Guy Ritchie has shared his secrets after his impressive weight loss transformation.

He said eating steak five times a week has helped him to ditch the pounds.

The 55-year-old added he usually skips breakfast, opting for coffee in the mornings.

He said: "Usually what I eat is a rib-eye [steak] five or six days a week and I'll play with other things, but in the end, it's easy for me to cook.

"I'm not a breakfast man and I've a lost a stone which I'm quite smug about. It's not been a struggle. I eat late."

When Ritchie does break his fast, he will opt for a healthy bar with fruit and nuts.

"I quite like coffee so I'll go on iced Americanos until about [1pm] and then I'll have a nibble of something," he said on Ruthie's Table 4 podcast.

"They do these healthy bars, like dates [and] cashew nuts.

"They've got just enough naughtiness in them to keep you entertained but not enough to get you in trouble."

The director added he has struggled with his weight over the years but is feeling "smug" about his recent weight loss achievement.

Steak is not only a delicious meal option, it is a great food for weight loss.

It is high in protein, which keeps slimmers feeling full and less likely to opt for unhealthy snacks.

Eating protein every day is also linked to having less belly fat, according to a study published in BMC.

Guy explained he will often not eat until 1pm which is a form of intermittent fasting.

Intermittent fasting is a diet technique which involves fasting for periods of the day and eating all calories within a specific time window. It has been proven to give weight loss results.

A 2022 study published in the National Library of Medicine analysed 131 obese participants over a 12 week period.

Those who followed intermittent fasting lost an average of nine per cent of their body weight, which was more than those using other weight loss methods.

Another study with 27 participants found intermittent fasting helped them lose between 0.8 per cent and 13 per cent of their baseline body weight.
