Major parking changes have been given the green light which will allow motorists to book parking simply by using one of the most popular apps on their mobile phones.
The UK's leading parking app JustPark has unveiled a groundbreaking new collaboration with Google Maps to allow motorists in the UK to find and reserve parking spaces through the app.
Google has likened the move to people booking reservations at restaurants through Google Maps, with hopes parking will be the same in the near future.
Drivers are able to search for parking on Google Search and Google Maps before using the Book Online button on the destination's Google Business Profile.

This will link JustPark's website and allow motorists to book a guaranteed parking space wherever they need to be.
New users can immediately register for an account and complete their booking, with JustPark saying it provides a "stress-free experience" at their destination.
Maricris Reantaso, SVP of Product for JustPark, said: "Our integration with Reserve with Google will further simplify parking for millions of drivers across the UK.
"With just a few clicks, they can find their destination, reserve guaranteed parking and pay with ease. It's another step towards JustPark's goal of making parking stress-free, no matter how you choose to book."

Businesses will also be able to benefit by allowing them to pre-book spaces on Google Search and Google Maps, with this being particularly helpful before a large event.
JustPark is also integrated with in-car technology including Android Auto and Apple CarPlay where drivers can book a parking space before arriving at the car park.
Google's EMEA regional product partnership lead added: "We're pleased to see JustPark leveraging Google Business profiles to bring this new booking functionality to drivers in the UK.
"By making parking reservations accessible through Google Search and Maps, this Reserve with Google - Appointment Redirect integration simplifies the journey for users while supporting car park operators with new opportunities to connect with customers."
Drivers can see the option on the desktop and through the Google Maps app with the "book online" option below other features like directions, send to phone and share.
When using the app, booking a parking space is the second option for motorists to choose after directions, with it linking to the JustPark website.
From here, they can find detailed descriptions of the car park including the specifications of the parking space, including whether they are suitable for larger vehicles.
It will show them the real-time availability, reviews from other motorists and give drivers a street view of the entrance and the car park itself.
