Dylan Holloway, who took part in ITV's X Factor over a decade ago as part of the two-piece act MK1, has come out as transgender since leaving the show.
In a series of social media posts, the musician has candidly posted updates about the transition and continued pursuit of success in the music industry.
Holloway often openly addresses being a trans male music artist and even "duets" with clips of him singing pre-transition for social media users.
The MK1 singer shot to fame in 2012 when the band took part in the X Factor and ended up being mentored by Louis Walsh.
Walsh was one of the judges for the series alongside Nicola Scherzinger, Gary Barlow and Tulisa Contostavlos.
MK1 made it all the way to the live finals on ITV but left the show in 11th place after being voted out in the third live show of the series.

Holloway performed alongside singing partner Simeon Dixon at the time but is now pursuing a solo career.
Still releasing music, Holloway now goes by the artist name Dylan and The Moon.
Opening up to social media users in a pinned post, Holloway explained all about coming out as trans and transitioning.
"I'm a musician and I'm also a transgender man," the singer said. "I make indie pop music and I used to release music under my old name Lots Holloway.
"Since transitioning I've been using my old vocal recordings and old vocals of myself to harmonise and duet with my former self...
"I want people to know it's okay to embrace who you've been because they've brought you to be who you are now."
Holloway has previously addressed sexuality and gender when speaking with The Sun, saying: "If I go out and guys come up to me they look really confused when I say I've got a girlfriend.
"It's weird because all the girls think I'm a gay and all the guys think I'm straight.
"But I actually like boys and girls, so I get the best of both worlds. I went from having a boyfriend to a girlfriend and it was really funny.
"I was friends with this girl in my town and we used to hang out and then one day I started feeling a bit different and I thought, 'I like both'," reports the Mirror.
