Sir Tom Jones, 84, has found himself inundated with praise from recent concertgoers after performing in the UK city of Southampton.
The SexBomb hitmaker is currently embarking on his worldwide Ages & Stages tour but sparked concern earlier this month when he admitted he had "less control" over his voice.
Addressing how performing into his 80s has taken its toll, Jones confessed: "Thank God my voice is still working. I mean, I can’t believe it.
"When I am singing, I am like, ‘How the hell is this coming out of me?’ If it was not there, I am sure I would be going, ‘Urgh, I don’t want to do so many shows,’ but I love it as it is still working. What could be better than that?
"My voice is lower now. As we get older, our voices drop and we get more character in them.
"The older you get, the less control you have over your vocal cords. All you have got to do is push it harder… and I can still do that," he told Yours magazine.
He defiantly added to the publication that he was "not worn down in any way" and that "being older I feel I have got a point to prove."
Jones is currently in Spain and will perform in Mérida and Valencia this coming weekend as his tour continues.
But despite his worrying words about the state of his voice, it seems the Delilah singer shows no signs of any loss of control judging by the reaction to his Southampton gig.
Sharing a snap from the performance on his Instagram, Jones penned: "Southampton @smmrsessions you were marvellous last night! #AgesandStages #Tour."

The comments were soon flooded with fans who'd attended the gig applauding the 84-year-old for his "amazing" performance despite his worries.
"It was amazing! We came from Germany to see you in England. It was an unforgettable Evening! Thank you Sir Tom Jones," one concertgoer penned.
"Thank you for being amazing Last night, loved the show x," a second added before a third weighed in: "You were absolutely phenomenal!
"You lived up to all my dreams. Been waiting to see you years. You are such a powerhouse with the most golden voice. Love you Tom!"
The praise kept coming from another who typed: "Sensational in Southampton! Still buzzing tho from Hampton and Plymouth last week but so missing the excitement of watching you perform. Enjoy Spain !!…and see you at Chepstow."
And a fifth echoed: "So glad I managed to get to see you at last, you Sir Tom are a true legend."
