The Black Sabbath star is known for giving his brutal and honest opinions

Ozzy Osbourne singled out actor Johnny Depp and musicians Bros after he launched into a scathing rant over artists who attempt to switch between acting and music in Hollywood.

The 75-year-old has had a staggering music career after being part of the 70s band, Black Sabbath, before going on to become a multi-platinum success as a solo artist.

Elsewhere, Osbourne has dipped his toe into acting and starred in Ghostbusters (2016), Austin Powers, (2002), and Moulin Rouge! (2001), and voiced characters for animation films such as South Park, Gnomeo & Juliet, and Trolls.

However, despite his own efforts to break into the acting world, the Crazy Train singer has slammed modern-day musicians who are keen to swap their music careers for the glitz and glamour - whilst praising the likes of Johnny Depp and the Bros Twins.

Discussing his thoughts on his Sirius XM show, Ozzy Speaks, he said: "There was a time when rock stars wanted to be movie stars and movie stars wanted to be rock stars.

"Make your f***ing mind up what you want to do! Why do you want to be a rock star when you want to be in movies? There ain't many that can do it all and pull it off. Johnny Depp is pretty good at doing both."

Osbourne also shared his admiration for Bros drummer Luke Goss, who has appeared in films such as Blade II, Hellboy II: The Golden Army, and Tekken as he added: "What about them twins in that band? I saw one of them in a bank robbery film. It was a fantastic film."

He suggested that musicians should be given "two movies" to demonstrate their acting abilities or they should quit, concluding: "Have a stab and if you're s**t acknowledge it and stop."

His rant towards musicians and actors comes after he issued a half-hearted apology to Britney Spears following their social media spat which began after he commented on her dance skills.

Speaking on his family podcast - The Osbourne's - the 75-year-old stated he was "fed up" with seeing daily clips of her dancing, and added that she needed to "mix it up".

Addressing the pop-sensation directly on one of their recent episodes, the head of the family said: "Britney, I really owe you an apology. I’m so sorry for making that comment."

However, rather than ending his apology there and keeping it simple, he doubled down: "However, it would be better if you didn’t do the same f**king dance every day."

He advised the Baby... One More Time! hitmaker to "change a few movements," before Kelly Osbourne, 39, also shared her own apology after calling Spears' social media reels "very sad".

"Britney, never stop dancing. I love your dancing. It makes you happy and I’m so sorry if any of us offended you," before wife Sharon Osbourne, 71, stepped in and added: "Listen, I like Britney a lot."

The Black Sabbath star interjected: "I love Britney Spears. But it’s the same dance every day. I really do apologise. I love you and I think you’re beautiful. But mix it up."

Spears initially responded to the family's remarks with a lengthy Instagram caption which read: "I adore Kate Beckinsale especially because she's from London!

"I realized how incredibly cruel people were talking about her IG saying she needs more age-appropriate content...

"She's in her fifties and I thought it was pretty badass how she responded with a mini bow in her hair looking literally 4 years old!!! I'm gonna do a photo shoot with Kate and tell the Osbourne family who is the most boring family known to mankind to kindly f*** off!!!" (sic)
