The GB News star and his YouTuber campmate had formed an unlikely double-act

Nigel Farage and Nella Rose found themselves at loggerheads during Wednesday's I'm A Celebrity when the pair debated the GB News star's stance on immigration.

The pair - who'd proven a hit with fans after tackling a number of tasks together in the opening days - have had no shortage of tense moments with campmates during their time in the jungle and this debate proved another talking point.

For instance, Farage was branded "shameful" by Fred Siriex for his campaigning during Brexit while Rose also locked horns with the First Dates star for his comments about age and her father.

This time, Rose pulled Farage for a chat in the camp as she was keen to learn more about his political history and his stance on immigration.

"Let’s get everything out in the open," Rose said as she and Farage stopped for a discussion. "All the tea is coming out now… apparently you’re anti-immigrants?”

“Who told you that?” Farage quizzed to which Rose unironically replied: “The internet.”

Farage took a moment before he sarcastically replied: “Oh, well there we are then it must be true.”

“It must be!" Rose hit back. "Okay, but then why don’t black people like you?”

“You’d be amazed, they do," Farage replied as he once again refuted something Rose had read online. “If you came with me through South London, you’d be astonished.”

Rose's line of questioning continued: “So everyone hates you for no reason? Not that everyone hates you, that was so bad. Sorry.”

Farage calmly responded: “You can disagree with somebody, but to chuck around accusations the way they’ve been chucked around is grossly unfair.

"Anti-immigrant, right? No, no, all I’ve said is we cannot go on with the numbers coming to Britain that are coming.”

“I’m one of the numbers?” Rose protested to which Farage continued: “So that’s it then, should it be five million a year, 10 million… you don’t seem to understand.”

Rose refused to engage with Farage's argument as she continued with her protests: “Those immigrants that are coming in, I came in.”

“Hang on! Think!” Farage pleaded but Rose was staunch in her views: “What is so wrong about immigrants?”

Farage tried once again to explain his point: “Listen. Since 2000, the British population has increased by 10 million. 10 million.”

“Good thing, right?” Rose argued to which Farage answered: “Good thing, unless you want a GP appointment…”

Rose then unleashed a rant Farage's way" “I’m stopping you getting a GP appointment? You’re not getting an appointment because the NHS is lacking funding.

"I bet you anything if every single immigrant or from immigrant descent was to leave the UK, all your doctors, go… most of your doctors are Asian right? Most of your nurses are African women, right? You want us gone, that’s all I understood.”

Farage grew tired of Rose's inability to grasp what he was trying to say as he cut in: “Stop it. Stop it. That’s not… Nella, you’re not listening to a single word I’m saying. You’re not.”

“It’s okay for us to disagree on this," Rose argued but Farage was clearly irked by the lack of constructive argument as he replied: “We can agree to disagree if you listen.”

Rose eventually said to the former Brexit Party leader: "My main point was that we’ve got into this jungle and I really like you and I want to know why everyone hated you.

"We don’t have to come to a common ground. You probably like a lot of things that I don’t like. And I probably like a lot of things that you don’t like… we can have these conversations.”

In the end, Farage and Rose came to an agreeable conclusion, with the former saying in the Bush Telegraph: “What was interesting was at the end of it she said, ‘Well, okay, we’re going to agree to disagree.’ And that’s the important thing, agreeing to disagree.”
