Former Love Island star Molly-Mae announced the sad update on Instagram

Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury have split up, the 25-year-old influencer confirmed as she issued a statement on her social media.

In an emotional post, the Love Island star admitted she "never in a million years" thought she would be announcing such news and added she's "extremely upset".

She penned: "Never in a million years did I think I'd ever have to write this. After five years of being together, I never imagined our story would end, especially not in this way.

"I am extremely upset to announce that mine and Tommy's relationship has come to an end.

"I will forever be grateful for the most important things to me now and always, my beautiful daughter. Without us there would be no her, she will always be my priority.

"I want to thank you all for the love you have shown us over the last five years."

"You have all been a part of our journey and I feel it's right to share this with you all.

"Whilst I attempt to navigate the coming days and weeks please kindly respect my privacy over this difficult time, I'll be back when it feels right. Molly-Mae x"

Reality star Hague and boxer Fury, 25, have been candid about their relationship in the past.

In a video uploaded to the influencer's social media last week, she explained she felt guilty over her struggle to find balance in her life.

She said: "I, to be honest with you, have been not feeling… like, I mean this week has just been a lot of emotions."

Hague added that former fiancé Fury had been wrapped up in recording his audiobook and that she wanted to be understanding of his commitments seeing as her own audiobook recording was "the most intense week of her entire life".

"He's done it now, and I'm so proud of him because I know that was a really big deal to him, but I have been solo parenting pretty much the entire week," she added.

She went on to add: "Actually I've been solo parenting for like, two weeks now, basically because Tommy's just been so busy.

"When he's home from doing work and stuff, he's so incredible and so helpful. I can't say any different, like, he's such an incredible dad, but I have been this week, like, just really… mum life has been mum lifeing."

The couple met on the ITV reality show Love Island in 2019 and share one daughter, Bambi.

They got engaged last year but sadly their fairytale romance has come to an unexpected end.

The reality stars built a strong base of social media followers thanks to their romance, with whom they have continuously shared updates.

Hague released no further details about the reason for their split, but long-term Love Island fans have already expressed their shock over the announcement.
