Miriam Margolyes is no stranger to delivering her brutally honest opinions on a number of subjects, including herself, but she recently opened up about her worry of not having enough money for carers as she gets older.
Margolyes is best known for her roles as Professor Sprout in Harry Potter, Mother Mildred in Call the Midwife and her Bafta-winning role in Martin Scorsese's The Age of Innocence.
On top of her on-screen successes, she has also found success in publishing her own books and making a fortune on the video message platform Cameo.
Despite her huge income from many different projects, Margolyes recently admitted she was scared she hasn't saved enough money to be able to support herself and her partner when the time comes when they need carers.
Her most recent memoir brought in a staggering £250,000, and has always discussed the importance of how much money matters.
She was recently teased by RadioTimes on whether she had a gambling addiction, something she shrugged off and admitted: "No, I don't gamble at all! I'm worried that I won't have enough money for carers when I finally get paralysed of whatever it is that's going to happen to me.

"I'm saving up cash so that I can pay people to look after me and my partner. We don't have children, so I need to make sure I'm going to be looked after in the way that I've become accustomed."
Discussing her Cameo video messages - in which she has earned £365,000 since Covid - she added: "It's usually to celebrate someone's birthday, wedding anniversary or marriage. I've got 30 of them to do today!"
This isn't the first time that Margolyes has opened up about her health worries as she previously opened up about was her weight and how it led her to developing spinal stenosis.
Speaking on the Elizabeth Day: How to Fail podcast, Margoyles explained: "The one thing I have not conquered and should have conquered is my weight. I am a blubber mass. I am fat.

"And to be fat and 82 is truly pathetic. It’s such a defeat. A cream bun, a chocolate, a helping of chopped liver is more important than your health and aesthetic presentation? No, it isn’t more important.
"It’s just greed, lack of discipline, all the things I’m embarrassed by in myself. It is a major failure and because of that I’ve got spinal stenosis, I can’t walk, I’m going to be in a wheelchair before I’m much older."
Continuing her damning verdict on her life choices, Margolyes went on: "I’ve limited my life because of my longing for fudge or chopped liver, cheesecake.
"All these absurdities, I shouldn’t have been so greedy, have been stronger. I f**k everything up by greed and I think it’s shameful."

As the clip went viral on social media, Margolyes was flooded with praise, leaving one Instagram user to note: "I felt so sad when she was talking about her body. It just shows how pervasive diet culture is, all that talk of shame and greed.
"Miriam is amazing, such a great person and I admire her so much for her DGAF attitude yet she seems really sad about her weight."
While another echoed: "I loved this interview. Her honesty is so refreshing. It hurt me when she talked so brutally about her body and how she felt about it."
