Susanna Reid asked 'could it have been avoided?' as she talked about Mosley
Michael Mosley's death has seen a flood of tributes pour in from former ITV and BBC colleagues as well as from his fans.
It was announced on Sunday that the 67-year-old's body had been found following a five-day search on the Greek island he went missing from on Wednesday and, responding to the tragic update, ITV's Susanna Reid has expressed her sadness and confusion over the fate of the health guru.
Reid, 53, labelled Mosley's death "senseless" as she expressed her heartbreak over the outcome of his disappearance.
Mosley was a regular on This Morning as well as BBC's The One Show, where he shared tips for better health with viewers.
His podcast, Just One Thing, also saw him detailing an array of small steps people can take to improve their health.
He is known for advocating for intermittent fasting and even reversed his Type 2 diabetes through the technique.

Heartbreakingly, Mosley's body was discovered over the weekend in a secluded area close to the Agia Marina resort.
Speaking on ITV, Reid remarked: "There is a huge outpouring of love and sadness over the death of Michael Mosley.
"People are absolutely gobsmacked on what on earth could possibly have happened. He was on this gorgeous Greek island, he'd been there before with his wife.
"He just leaves the beach to make his way to the accommodation - it just seems - everyone scratches their head.

"Had he taken a wrong turn? Perhaps he got dehydrated - his wife said he did have a bottle of water; he had his umbrella.
"There's that sense of why did it happen? Could it have been avoided? Why on earth it's taken so long to find him?"
Later, the presenter continued: "It just seems so senseless really. Of course, this is our top news this morning because his body has been transferred to the Greek island of Rhodes.
"There there will be a post-mortem. A preliminary examination has ruled out any foul play."
Mosley's widow Clare Bailey Mosley issued a heartbreaking statement following the news that Mosley's body had been discovered.
"I don’t know quite where to begin with this," she remarked. "It’s devastating to have lost Michael, my wonderful, funny, kind and brilliant husband.
