Lulu, 75, opened up about her own experiences with fame and how it impacted her life from a young age as she reflected on the death of One Direction star Liam Payne.
Payne, 31, died last month after falling from his hotel room balcony after holidaying in Argentina with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy and attending a concert for Niall Horan.
The toxicology report suggested Payne "did not adopt a reflexive posture to protect himself" during the fall, with the star dying of multiple trauma injuries causing "internal and external haemorrhaging".
Lulu joined Lorraine stand-in host Ranvir Singh today to discuss her upcoming memoir and biopic, where she revealed readers and viewers will read about how she coped with fame at a young age.
Singh noted: "Perrie Edwards this morning we saw her talking about Liam Payne and all these difficult circumstances for young big stars."
The Bang-a-Bang singer interjected and explained: "That’s.... doing this memoir and the biopic, this is what I am going to be able to address and I don’t think that I have.

"I mean even doing my tour which a lot of people who came mentioned, they had forgotten that I had done the Bond song, I had worked with David Bowie, you know all the different things I have done.
"And all the years I have been working and it went on and it's still going. But, when Liam died, it was such a kick in the gut and a reminder that this could have been you, this could have been you, this could have been you."
Wanting to know more about how she could relate to the events which happened surrounding Payne and his death, Singh asked: "Did the pressure ever get too much for you?"
"You’ll have to read the book," the 75-year-old simply replied, but left Singh to probe: "Go on give us... on a serious note."

Adamant that she was not going to discuss it, Lulu went on: "I am not saying anything. In a serious way, I am an optimistic person so I am very fortunate.
"The actual true story will be in the memoir, and it will be in the biopic because I have never been as vulnerable as I have allowed myself to be at this point in time.
"It is about time. Ididn’t just put on a brave face, I told the truth but it isn’t going to be a misery, it is kind of a success story.
"I didn’t end up like Liam, because it so easily could have happened and a lot of my friends ended up there, a lot of my peers ended up in the same way."

The segment lined up styling leopard print clothing into an autumnal ensemble, but Lulu was determined to share her dislike for the fashion trend early on.
