Liam Gallagher's son Gene, 23, is reportedly set to play a huge role in the upcoming Oasis reunion tour

Liam Gallagher's son Gene Gallagher could be set to join his father and uncle, Noel Gallagher, for the upcoming Oasis tour - hoping to be one of 10 warm-up acts.

According to sources close to the family, the 23-year-old confided in friends that his group, indie rock band Villanelle, will be a supporting act.

According to The Mirror, a source said: "Gene is supporting Oasis. He's been telling a few people and he's really excited. He loves playing with his dad and knows it will be huge for his music career."

Villanelle, Gene's band, is set to release their first single with an independent label in November.

The group recently announced an eight-date UK tour, including a Manchester homecoming show at Night & Day on November 22.

Gene's involvement in the tour comes after he reportedly played a crucial role in reuniting his father and uncle.

Sources have suggested that Gene, along with Noel's daughter Anais, 24, worked together to bring their famous dads back together for the first time in 15 years.

"It hadn't dawned on Noel and Liam until recently that their own kids had never properly seen them together. They didn't want to wait until it was too late to show them why they are Britain's biggest band," claimed a source to the same publication.

The Oasis reunion tour has been marred by controversy surrounding ticket pricing.

Consumer group Which? has called on Oasis and Ticketmaster to "do the right thing" and refund fans hit by inflated prices.

Many were shocked when standard ticket prices more than doubled from £148 to £355 on Ticketmaster due to "dynamic pricing".

Which? claims fans were not properly warned about potential price increases with the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) launching an investigation into Ticketmaster's practices.

Oasis has stated they had no involvement in the decision to implement dynamic pricing, with Ticketmaster maintaining that event organisers set concert prices.

In a statement, the band said: "It needs to be made clear that Oasis leave decisions on ticketing and pricing entirely to their promoters and management."

They added they had "at no time had any awareness that dynamic pricing was going to be used" in the sale of tickets for the initial dates.

Oasis has extended their Live '25 tour to include two additional London shows at Wembley Stadium on September 27 and 28.
