Justin Timberlake's lawyer has broken his silence over the 43-year-old's Driving While Intoxicated arrest and subsequent charge, indicating there is more to the story.
A statement from attorney Edward Burke's office said: "Mr. Burke looks forward to vigorously defending Mr. Timberlake on these allegations."
It continued: "Mr. Burke will have a lot to say at the appropriate time; he is currently awaiting full discovery from the District Attorney’s office."
The singer was arrested earlier this week in Sag Habour, New York, with the pop star later charged in court.
Sources claimed to TMZ that the former NSYNC singer met some friends at a local hotel in Sag Harbor and was pulled over after he left the group.
According to the Daily Mail, a source said: "Justin was out to dinner with friends and there were cop cars stationed outside the restaurant like there are most nights.

"They look for people who are leaving after midnight who might have been drinking.
"Justin left at 12:30AM and was pulled over as soon as he left. Nobody was hurt and there was no drama at the scene."
It was later confirmed the singer was charged with DWI and later released from police custody.
His arrest came just hours after he penned a sweet tribute on his Instagram dedicated to his children, Silas, nine, and Phineas, three, with whom he shared with actress Jessica Biel.
It read: "My 2 greatest gifts. I learn more about myself everyday just because you both chose me to be your Daddy. I will always be there for you through your peaks and valleys…
"To lift you up and show you how high you can take this life and to pick you up when you fall. And, of course, to flood you with insufferable Dad-jokes all along the way. I love you both so much. Thank you for giving me my biggest purpose.
"Now… for today: let’s play a game where we all just chill and let Dad watch the final round of The US Open.
"Cheers to all the Dads out there Dad-ing! I salute you!"
