Pete Wicks and Jowita Przystal were eliminated just one week before the series final
Strictly Come Dancing star Jowita Przystal broke down in tears as Pete Wicks admitted he was “proud” of their journey and what they had achieved.
On Saturday night, Wicks and Przystal performed the Argentine Tango to The Verve's Bittersweet Symphony and the Foxtrot to Beyond the Sea by Bobby Darin.
Unfortunately, his journey came to an end after being in the dance-off for the first time against Tasha Ghouri and Aljaz Skorjanec – with all four judges choosing to save Ghouri.
Tonight, the couple joined It Takes Two host Fleur East to discuss their journey, where Przystal was asked how she felt about performing the Argentine Tango.
She admitted: “This dance, I genuinely felt like I was dancing with a professional,” leaving Wicks to interject and joke: “Did you have a couple of drinks before the show?”
Przystal continued: “No, I haven’t. Sober. But no genuinely, I was so proud of that night, and we had a beautiful dance and it wasn’t easy.

“There were a lot of leading parts where Pete was in full control of everything that was going on on that floor.
“But you were ready for it and that's why I pushed the Argentine Tango to the last second because I knew we needed to build up confidence in you so then when we do it we will nail it.
“You’ve done more than I thought you would have actually so thank you for that and thank you for letting me shine on that floor because I literally felt like I shined at night.”
The former TOWIE star replied: “You shine every night.”

After watching a montage of their time on the show, Przystal was seen wiping away her tears, before Wicks said: “Some bits were harder to watch than others.
“The latex will haunt me for the rest of my life as well as the loin cloth. But you kind of, when you're in it, you don’t get a chance to reflect on some of the stuff you have done.
“And some of them weeks, they were tough, but one thing we never did was give up and one thing I said at the beginning of this was that I was going to take this seriously.
“But not take myself seriously and I think that is what I tried to do throughout; I am proud of what we did.”
Before leaving, he revealed that whilst he was proud of all four finalists, he felt that Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell should take home the Glitterball trophy.
After the results were released, Wicks quickly took to his Instagram account to reflect on his time and his journey.

In a lengthy post, he penned: “This experience wouldn’t have been anything without Jowita. She believed in me since the first day and never stopped.
“She supported me, listened to me, made me laugh and cry but most of all she made me believe in myself when I didn’t think I could do it.” (sic)
