Jeremy Clarkson rages at 'utter horse s***' as he's accused of burning Donald Trump effigy amid US election race

Jeremy Clarkson has slapped down the backlash he's faced for a bonfire event held at his Cotswolds pub, The Farmer's Dog.
To mark November 5, Clarkson erected an effigy of Guy Fawkes to set fire to in front of punters at his pub in Burford, Oxfordshire.
However, after sharing a snap of the event on his Instagram page, some fans claimed it bore a resemblance to Republican Donald Trump.
Clarkson's display came just hours before voting closed in the USA and Trump faced off against Kamala Harris in the race to take residence in the White House.
On Wednesday morning, it was confirmed that Trump had emerged victorious and he was announced as the President-Elect following the electoral and popular votes.
But as Trump was celebrating his presidential victory, Clarkson was rubbishing the rumours he'd burnt an effigy of the 78-year-old, letting loose in a furious social media post.

Slapping down the comparisons, Clarkson wrote on the social media site: "Utter horse s***.
"If I was going to burn someone contemporary on our fire, it would be someone closer to home. But it was actually just Guy Fawkes."
Clarkson had previously claimed this was the case in the comments of the original post in which someone had suggested the Clarkson's Farm star had "lost it".
"It’s Guy Fawkes for God’s sake," Clarkson replied in the comments of the post as he tried to allay fears.
Before long, fans rushed to side with the 64-year-old for speaking out to correct the claims made by misinformed followers.
And while the bonfire celebrations were enough to fuel the party atmosphere, Clarkson - who's still recovering from a recent heart operation - had even more exciting news up his sleeve.
Recorded from the celebrations on Wednesday night, Clarkson revealed Amazon had given the green light to a fifth season of his hit farming show.
Speaking to his followers, Clarkson said: "Over the years, bright lights in the sky have been used to make many important announcements.
"The birth of the baby Jesus, for example. But tonight, they're being used to make an announcement that's even bigger than that."
