ITV viewers were left divided by the latest instalment of comedy-drama, Douglas is Cancelled.
The third episode left many fans "uncomfortable" and "horrified" as the series centred on newsreader Douglas (played by Hugh Bonneville) and co-star Madeline (Karen Gillan) aired a dramatic twist.

The latest instalment was deemed "creepy" as a flashback showed Madeline's first interview for the news channel she works at alongside Douglas was shown.
Producer Toby (Ben Miles) was interviewing her in a hotel room but things soon took a dark turn. Tony kept offering Madeline an alcoholic drink before undressing in front of her.
Madeline grew uncomfortable as Toby's inappropriate behaviour continued, with the character clearly trying to get out of the situation.
The hard-to-watch scene left many feeling "uncomfortable" and it didn't take long for viewers to share their opinions.

Taking to X, many expressed their discomfort over the scene, with one person writing: "#douglasiscancelled This is so creepy," along with an angry emoji.
"Just what I was thinking. Very insistent that Madeline had a drink. Creepy and predatory #DouglasIsCancelled," another added.
"The most horrific watch! Poor Madeline! #douglasiscancelled," a third commented.
Others admitted they had tuned out, with one stating: "#DouglasIsCancelled watched at the beginning for about 10/15 mins found it to be soo boring."
