The ITV reality show is on its third series - but it could be the show's last

ITV's Cooking with the Stars is currently airing its third series, but despite starring some familiar names from the world of entertainment, the show's future is currently uncertain.

The likes of Abbey Clancy, Carol Vorderman and Pasha Kovalev have featured in the current series, which sees famous faces go head-to-head in a number of cooking battles.

The first episode of the series sparked backlash from viewers over the calibre of celebs and it seems the lack of enthusiasm surrounding it could mean the current series will be the show's last.

According to the latest figures from Gambling.com, the show's odds of ending with the current episodes stand at 4/6.

Meanwhile, the show's odds of returning for future instalments are at 6/4.

The debut episode of the series saw viewers blasting it online, with one X user admitting: "Never watched this before #CookingWithTheStars. Won't be watching it again!"

Christopher Biggins

Someone else shared: "5 minutes was enough. It's terrible #CookingWithTheStars."

Not everyone disliked the show though and some were pleased to see it back on screens as one remarked: "@carolvorders. Already enjoying watching you on #CookingwiththeStars. They get some really good stars on this!" (sic)

Meanwhile, the betting company has also provided stats on who is most likely to be crowned winner of the series.

While there's already been one kitchen casualty, with Harry Pinero knocked out of the latest episode, there will certainly be more to come, and odds make clear who the current favourites are.

Model Clancy and former Strictly Come Dancing professional Kovalev are the early frontrunners to be crowned this year's Golden Frying Pan recipient.

Gambling.com's entertainment expert James Leyfield has delved further into the early predictions, stating: "With Clancy the current favourite, Kovalev has odds of 11/8 to go all the way.

"While Carol Vorderman has already tasted defeat in the series, she made it through to the next round by defeating Pinero.

"In the tough cook-off, the pair had to follow a recipe they had never seen before, and they were tasked with creating the 1980s dinner party classic Black Forest gateau.

Emma Willis and Tom Allen

"The former Countdown host is 4/1 to win this year's Cooking With The Stars, narrowly behind British former Paralympian swimmer Ellie Simmonds, who is 3/1 in the market."

Simmonds has yet to cook in the show, along with the three other remaining stars: comedian Katherine Ryan (6/1), former Olympian Linford Christie (8/1) and panto star Christopher Biggins.

Biggins is used to being a stage star, but it remains to be seen whether he can impress in the kitchen.

He is currently propping up the Cooking with the Stars market at 10/1.

GB News has contacted ITV for a comment on the claims.
