Britain's Got Talent viewers have previously claimed the ITV talent show is "fixed" for certain acts
Britain's Got Talent star Tom Ball has opened up on the current series of the ITV talent show and slapped down the ongoing fix claims by revealing the surprising rule singers have when entering the competition.
Ball shot to fame when he competed on the 2022 series of the talent competition and won over music mogul Simon Cowell as he auditioned with a rendition of Sam Smith's song Writing's on the Wall and went on to finish in third place.
He later got a call to appear on Britain's Got Talent once more as he returned as Noodle the Cat on the 2023 series, leaving the judges stunned.
After going on to place third on the talent show, Ball was signed by the independent label Westway Music with his debut album Curtain Call released back in March.
The singer recently spoke to GB News about the ongoing fix rows which have been surrounding this year's series, especially with the singing act, but immediately shut them down.
When asked what he thought, he explained: "From my experience on the show, as a singer, because I can speak from this perspective, I went in with five songs that I could sing.

"So I turned up with multiple songs, so I would say, I don't know the current circumstance, but I would say that he has been stopped to sing another song then he knows what his second choice is straight away.
"So, going into that it might come across as seamless but he is already going on with four other songs in his back pocket so if they don't like it, he can sing another one instead.
"From my experience, Simon is a very intelligent man, especially within the music industry and if he hears something and knows you have potential but maybe not from the song choice, and so he just wants that act to have the best possible chance.
"Which is why you come along with multiple song choices, so that if anyone goes 'you wanna do this one instead' you already have another one that is the one hope for doing well."

Ball's response comes after fans were furious at Simon Cowell for stopping Charity fundraiser Ace Clurk during his performance, singing Harry Styles' As It Was.
During the audition period, Cowell unconvincingly stopped Clurk and asked if he had another song, noting: "Can I suggest something? I don't think the key was right and I think you were nervous. But I think you're interesting. Did you bring a second song?"
Clurk nervously replied: "Yeah, I do, I do," before revealing his second song choice to be Lovely by Billie Eilish.
As the performance came to an end, Cowell was still left unconvinced and said: "I think it's one of those auditions where not everyone's expected to like the same things. There were times where I thought: 'This is really good'.

"And there were other times where I thought: 'Actually, this is getting a little bit boring, actually'. But, that's what I'm saying, if we all bought the same record then you know, life would be a bit weird wouldn't it?
"I do think you're very talented and you come over as a very sincere person who really wants this break. I think you're interesting and I think that's a really, really good thing. So, you deserve a shot. It's a yes, well done."
Despite getting four yeses from the judges, fans were left unconvinced that the moment was spontaneous and claimed it was fixed.
