The latest I'm a Celeb episode featured very little of the GB News presenter

ITV bosses have extended tonight's I'm A Celeb episode amid anger over Nigel Farage's airtime being increasingly "limited".

The show was initially advertised to finish at 10.15pm, however the time allocation has now been changed to 10.30pm.

It comes following an episode which featured very little of the GB News presenter.

Footage of the former Brexit Party leader speaking about his friendship with Donald Trump was said to be cut from production.

Farage appears to be featuring on the show less frequently as his supporters believe that "lefty" producers are doing it deliberately.

ITV has denied Farage's decline in airtime is a result of pressure from advertisers, but allies of Farage say they are growing concerned and angry at "insane dirty tricks" against him on the show.

A source told GB News: "It would not be a surprise if advertisers were putting pressure on to limit Nigel's airtime, as they have done many times before.

"They can now see that he is popular with the public, and they can't stand it.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:

"We can expect more dirty tricks from hard-left campaigners over the coming days. They want to stop him winning."

Reporting from Australia, GB News reporter Ben Leo said he has heard on “good authority” that ITV execs are making a conscious effort to limit Farage’s screen time.

Speaking yesterday, he said: “If anyone has watched tonight’s show, they will be wondering why the only contribution from Nigel was him saying ‘I love the Jungle, it’s beautiful’.

“Of course he has been barred from some trials on medical reasons, he has a dodgy back.

"I’ve discovered that a couple of days ago, Nigel had a discussion about his ally and good friend Donald Trump.

“The campmates seemed very interested, but we have not seen that on television.

“Why have ITV not played that?”

An ITV spokesperson branded the claims as "untrue" while a separate statement from the channel defended the show's editing process.

"We are a 60-75 minute Entertainment show and the content featured is a fair and accurate representation of life in camp," the spokesperson's statement read.
