Gemma Atkinson shares first snap of newborn son as she clears up baby name confusion

One week on from giving birth to their son, Gemma Atkinson has taken to Instagram to share an update on how life with the newborn is going.
Atkinson shared the first photo of the adorable tot over the weekend, as well as announce his name, but has revealed there have been a few questions about the newborn's moniker.
The former Hollyoaks and Emmerdale star, who is engaged to Strictly Come Dancing star Gorka Marquez, confirmed her newborn's name in a post which read: "Thiago Thomas Marquez," followed by a love heart emoji.
"Our family is complete," she concluded in the caption, prompting floods of sweet messages.
However, on Monday morning, Atkinson revealed she has received a number of messages from confused fans about Thiago's name.
In a candid series of clips on her Instagram Story, Atkinson explained: "One week old already, crikey! A week!

"Gorka's at Strictly now, day one of rehearsals, Mia's at pre-school, Thiago's in his pram, chilling, and I've got a coffee."
Touching on the hectic schedule of a new mum, Atkinson quipped: "Hair's not washed yet but that's fine, dry shampoo.
"And these absolutely stink," she added as she removed a breast-feeding pad. "But hey-ho, we keep moving."
Turning attention to fans' queries, she went on: "I've had loads asking how do we pronounce it...
"It's tee-ah-go. Thiago Thomas," she clarified. "And he was born on my dad and Janet's wedding anniversary which is lovely."
To avoid any further confusion, Atkinson then explained the nickname she calls her son.
"But yeah, it's Mia and Teo! Three letters," she added.
"I thought I wouldn't be able to shorten it to three letters and I loved Thiago if it's said nice, not Manc."
Atkinson then donned a thick Mancunian accent as she joked: "'Thiago Marquez', no, 'Thiago, Teo', Mia and Teo."

Atkinson and Marquez welcomed their son almost exactly four years after the actress gave birth to their first child, daughter Mia.
Mia was born on July 4, 2019, two years after her mum and dad met on the set of Strictly Come Dancing.
And Atkinson has revealed Thiago's sister has already jumped headfirst into her role as the elder sibling.
However, naturally Mia has had one or two questions of her own - and there was one question, in particular, that Atkinson felt she needed to share recently.
Taking to Instagram again, Atkinson shared the awkward moment: “Mia just sat me down, looked me in the eye with that deep in thought look and said, ‘Mummy, why does your tummy still look like it has a baby in it even though my brother is out?'"
Luckily, the new mum managed to see the funny side of her daughter's curiosity.
