The King of Rock n’ Roll’s half-brother made the shocking accusations

The stepbrother of Elvis Presley has alleged the music legend’s tragic death was caused by his doctor, Dr George Nichopoulos.

David Stanley, 67, became a close confidant of Presley after his mother married the rock icon's father.

Stanley moved to Presley’s estate, Graceland, aged just four years old and travelled everywhere with him until his death in 1977.

Presley died of a heart attack while sitting on the toilet aged just 42 – owed to complications with his drug addiction.

Speaking about his beloved older stepbrother, Stanley is “adamant” that the King of Rock 'n' Roll’s doctor played a role in his untimely demise.

Dr George ‘Nick’ Nichopoulos, who died in 2016, supplied Presley with cocaine, sleeping pills and amphetamines.

“Dr Nick gave him over 10,000 pills in the last eight months of his life. Without Dr Nick, Elvis would have died in the 21st Century,” Stanley revealed.

Emotionally, he continued: “The doctors killed him… who needs 10,000 pills? Who needs 33 sleeping pills to go to sleep at night? Who needs cocaine and amphetamine to wake up every day?”

Stanley argues that, if the news had gotten out earlier: “Dr Nick would be in prison and would have died in prison.”

Speaking to the Express, he blamed Presley's other health issues and significant weight gain on the influence from the doctors.

“And they say he had health problems… my friend, you take as much dope as that, you’re going to have some health problems,” the 67-year-old said.

Anticipating pushback for making the claims, Stanley made clear he spoke because of his “love” for Presley.

Challenging doubters, the loyal stepbrothersaid he had been by the King’s side for the “last years of his life” and saw his tragic decline first-hand.

Quoting Presley himself, Stanley laments having to watch him: “Go from King to 255 pounds... totally wrecked.”

The 67-year-old explained he did “the job to keep him there alive as long as you can” but was ultimately helpless to stop the inevitable.

Outside of Stanley, the King is survived by his wife Priscilla, 79.

Their daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, died last year due to surgery complications – an autopsy discovered amphetamines in her system but concluded they did not contribute to her death.

Lisa Marie’s daughter, Riley Keough, is currently making her own way as an actress despite warnings from her family to avoid showbiz.
