Eamonn Holmes took to his Instagram account today to update his fans on the long road to recovery he's been facing since his double-hip replacement in 2016.
His spinal surgery left him with a weakened left leg and just over two weeks into his recovery from the operation, Eamonn fell backwards down 18 stairs at his Weybridge home, hitting the stone floor at the bottom.
After winning at this year's TRIC Awards - in what was a very successful event for the People's Channel - Eamonn candidly admitted an operation on his back went awry.
The GB News fan-favourite has been open and honest about his ongoing recovery and often tries new medical treatments to help with his mobility.
On Wednesday, he posted a video of himself in a zero-gravity machine attached to a treadmill in a bid to help muscle memory and get his body moving once again.
In the video, Eamonn cheerfully explained to his followers: "Hello there, this is my latest exploit.
"This is what is called an anti-gravity treadmill. And the reason it is called anti-gravity is you see down here, I am being supported by quite a big balloon.
"The balloon holds my weight, and what it does really, the machine helps my legs and my body remember what it was like to move like this before things went wrong.
"They have been wrong for a long time. So the idea is that I build up muscle memory and you know things will happen, hopefully in the near-future but for the moment I do half an hour on this, cheers."
He captioned the post: "Trying to remember what it felt like to have legs that worked," which prompted many to flock to his comment section to praise his dedication and persistence.

A fourth fan similarly commented: "Well you look amazing, keep going you will get there."
"Great to see you making progress Eamonn. Hopefully, you’re feeling more hopeful," a fifth penned before another wrote: "Wow that’s amazing. Good luck to you Eamon you are doing great." (sic)
Eamonn's breakfast show he co-hosts with Isabel Webster recently won a TRIC award, where the 64-year-old gave an update during his acceptance speech.
After he was helped onto the stage, he explained: "Thank you very much indeed and the quality of the opposition that you are up against says a lot, really all class programmes and that makes this that little bit more special.

"I went for an operation a year and a half ago and it went wrong so I got two things in my back that I didn't want so why not, I will have this, happily accept this, thank you very much indeed."
He previously informed viewers that he "can't walk or run" anymore, and explained on the show: "I can't run, I can't walk, I can't do anything except watch TV and eat.
"I just got problems last year in my back, which I haven't recovered from. It's not good, it's not a good recipe I have to say. You are a good motivation for all of us."
