Dick Strawbridge's son James once gave a clue as to which of his siblings would be gaining the iconic Escape to the Chateau feature, Chateau de la Motte Husson.
Strawbridge, 64, and wife Angel Adoree, 46, purchased the structure in 2015, and their journey of transforming it into a thriving home and business was documented in Channel 4's Escape to the Chateau, which ended in 2022.
While the series followed the couple and their two young children, Arthur and Dorothy, as the family moved into the French castle, Strawbridge also has two older children from a previous marriage.
James, 40 and Charlotte, 38, are Strawbridge's son and daughter from his marriage to British engineer Brigit, which ended in 2010.
Fans have speculated throughout the years about which of the Strawbridge children will be inheriting the landmark.
Speaking to Express in 2022, James seemed to suggest his younger half siblings Arthur and Dorothy would be the ones taking over the chateau.
"When you go to the chateau the work being done with the renovation is quite quick compared to when you look at a house with a 500-year history," he told the publication.
Continuing, he added: "It's definitely more intense at the chateau than at these houses I visit [for my new series].
"Arthur and Dorothy's great-grandchildren in many years' time and like one of the next generations will probably have a bit more of a chilled-out vibe."
It seems based on his comments it will be the younger Strawbridge children who will be taking over the unique home.
The family moved into the chateau in 2015
The programme ended in 2022, but the couple still update fans about what they're up to on their joint podcast.
Speaking on last week's instalment, they addressed false rumours they've read about themselves, which led to them opening up on Adoree's leaked foul-mouthed rant towards a producer.
Adoree, 46, admitted: "No, that one was completely true, but do you know what? He was an a**e! And I guess I wish I'd just done it a little bit earlier."
"And anybody can tell one side of the story and hide behind anonymity, it's context that's important," Strawbridge concluded.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
In the leaked audio, which made headlines last May, Adoree fumes: "Who is that inspired by when you’re f***ing working at the chateau?"
She goes on to add: "Just tell me that and then you can f***ing leave – and this is me f***ing angry because I think you’re a f***ed up little c***."
