Hollywood actor Bill Cobbs has died at the age of 90, his brother has confirmed.
The well-known character actor starred in The Bodyguard, Night at the Museum and New Jack City and on June 25 "died peacefully" at his home.
Deadline reports Cobbs' brother, Thomas Cobbs, announced the actor's passing in a Facebook post.
It read: "We are saddened to share the passing of Bill Cobbs. On Tuesday, June 25, Bill passed away peacefully at his home in California.
"A beloved partner, big brother, uncle, surrogate parent, godfather and friend, Bill recently and happily celebrated his 90th birthday surrounded by cherished loved ones.
"As a family, we are comforted knowing Bill has found peace and eternal rest with his Heavenly Father. We ask for your prayers and encouragement during this time."
Cobbs starred in many roles from the 1970s onwards

Cobbs' publicist Chuck I. Jones also confirmed the news to the publication, stating: "Bill was a phenomenal human being in addition to being a spectacular actor. He was very kind, giving and attentive to others."
The actor was renowned for roles in popular films such as The Bodyguard, in which he starred alongside Whitney Houston.
Before he found Hollywood success, he served in the US Air Force for eight years.
The Mirror reports he later left a job as a car salesman to move to New York to pursue his acting passion.

Taking to X, fans shared tributes to Cobbs, with one writing: "Aw, RIP character actor extraordinaire Bill Cobbs. He's so great in Demolition Man."
"Bill Cobbs was central to one of the most important scenes in the history of sports movies. RIP," another penned.
"RIP to legendary character actor Bill Cobbs - a warm and welcome face in every one of his countless performances!" a third added.
Another commented: "RIP Bill Cobbs. An absolute king. One of the true gods in the 'Hey, it’s that guy' pantheon."
