The Strictly Come Dancing star has endured gruelling cancer treatment
Strictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden has been a source of inspiration to many after sharing her cancer journey with social media followers.
The 34-year-old was diagnosed with breast cancer last year and shared some of the toughest moments online, such as having to shave her head when she received treatment. While the Welsh star saw floods of support from fans, she's revealed she received some cruel trolling about the content she was sharing.
Since being diagnosed, Dowden underwent treatment and was forced to have a full mastectomy.
Thankfully, she's since received better news about her health, with "no evidence of disease" present - but it will be five years before she can get the official "all clear" due to the nature of her cancer.
The Strictly star first spotted something wasn't right when she discovered a lump just before she jetted off to the Maldives on her honeymoon with husband Ben Jones.
She was later given a diagnosis of stage three breast cancer and kept fans updated throughout her emotional journey.

In her new BBC documentary, Strictly Amy: Cancer and Me, Dowden revealed the extent of the vile messages she was subjected to on social media.
In one part of the eye-opening documentary, she can be seen showing a nurse some of the nasty comments she'd received after sharing a video of herself dancing before she took the brave step of shaving her head.
She explained one person had written: "Narcissism is a self-centred personality style characterised as having an excessive preoccupation with one's self. I don't see the other millions who suffer from cancer do the same c**p she does."
Agreeing, someone else responded: "Agreed. Don't know why she feels the need to always be in the limelight." The nurse disapprovingly shook her head and told the choreographer to block out the cruel remarks.

However, Dowden became overwhelmed by the horrible comments and began to cry in front of the cameras, explaining: "At the time I already felt like I'd had everything about me stripped away, my identity - and of course I would have done anything in the world not to be dancing in my friend's garden about to shave my head, but to be dancing with my best friends on Strictly."
She went on to share how one person had messaged her saying: "You're not even stage four".
Thankfully for Dowden, she is set to return to her beloved Strictly Come Dancing this year. The show's set to launch next month and will see a host of new celebrities testing their dancing skills.
The dancer recently opened up about a life-saving move she has described as the reason she is "here".

"I never thought at 32 years old I would be diagnosed with breast cancer," she explained. Speaking to The Mirror, she continued: "And if it wasn’t for the Coppafeel trip, I wouldn’t have ended up checking myself.
"And if I hadn't found the grade three, most aggressive type of cancer, then I wouldn't be here right now.
"I just want people to not wait until you’re in your 50s and have mammograms. You need to be checking yourself.
"And if just ten people from watching this documentary check themselves, I could potentially save a life."
