Fans of the show were to quick ask Strachan a particular question during the show

Springwatch viewers were left distracted on Wednesday night by host Michaela Strachan, and many raced to social media to ask her an "important" question.

The 58-year-old introduced the episode alongside co-star Chris Packham, and, hoping to lure some badgers into view of the cameras, Strachan was sporting her "lucky" pink badger jumper.

Strachan herself addressed the outfit on social media before the show started and again later on the live programme.

Posting a snap on X of herself and Packham, 63, which showed them both pointing towards her light pink jumper featuring a family of badgers, she penned: "Got badgers on tonight’s @bbcspringwatch and not just on my jumper!! See you at 8pm BBC2. #springwatch @ChrisGPackham."

Immediately, fans took to the comments section of the post, and others commented on the sweet outfit during the show.

"Badgers are my faves! Where is that amazing jumper from!?" one viewer asked.

Plenty of others also had the same question for the presenter, with a second writing: "Where’s the jumper from? My wife might like to get one!!"

"I want one!!!!! Where did you get it from?" a third quizzed, while another added: "Mum really wants Michaela's badger jumper! #springwatch."

"Where can I get the badger jumper @michaelastracha ??? This is important #springwatch," someone else shared.

Another commented: "Loving the pink," (sic). Strachan also talked about her choice of jumper later in the show.

It came when co-star Iolo Williams, hosting from the middle of the woods hoping to spot some badgers, became frustrated over his bad luck in looking for the woodland animals.

"You two have looked for badgers live, you've seen them every time, Megan's gone and looked for badgers live, she's seen them every time - I've now gone out four times looking for badgers - nothing!" he complained.

"Iolo I even wore my lucky badger jumper for you, hoping you would see lots of live badgers," Strachan announced.

She continued: "Never mind, eh," as Packham noted: "He hasn't got the badger touch."

Packham's stepdaughter Megan McCubbin was also back on screens after causing a stir herself on Tuesday's episode.

Viewers became concerned after she kept being swarmed by hundreds of midges during yesterday's programme, with many applauding her professionalism as she tried to continue hosting.
