The beloved antiques expert was given a grim prognosis on his mobility by doctors
Fan-favourite BBC Flog It! expert Michael Baggott has shared details on his terrifying stroke ordeal from his hospital bed.
The antiques appraiser this week revealed he had been "bedbound” at Good Hope Hospital in Birmingham for five weeks.
Baggott, looking frail as he took a selfie video while in the hospital stroke ward, told fans he was "into my fifth bed-bound week".
After explaining he had suffered a stroke, the silver specialist revealed the warning a senior doctor told him: “If I don't 'buck up my ideas' in three weeks, I'll never able to walk again.”
In his message, the antiques expert also explained he had become seriously dehydrated during his stay.
He claimed: “I was left without any water at all and have become badly dehydrated.

"I'm dying of thirst in a British NHS hospital, and no one seems prepared to do anything about it,” Baggott fumed, his voice weak and whispery.
"For the last three days, I've been given a litre of water, which has been insufficient to stop me being dehydrated,” he added.
Amidst his anger at the hospital, Baggott also praised Good Hope’s nurses and junior doctors as his “saving grace”.
"They all want to help but can't. The senior doctors and senior managers who I never see always refuse water and refuse treatment,” he said.

Baggott claimed that one of the staff had told him the senior doctor’s warning about his mobility was “nonsense”.
After his announcement, Baggott received a deluge of well wishes and even a few visits from fans.
Later, the silver expert provided a more positive update on his recuperation.
“Hydrated at last, Radio 3 blaring and slightly happier, slightly more hopeful,” he said in another bedside video.
Baggott still appeared weak and whispery but was noticeably happier.
The antiques dealer thanked: “Everyone who either came or since messaged. Hopefully the way back starts now.”
