The antiques expert has been inundated with well-wishes following the news

Christina Trevanion has taken to social media to announce some exciting career news for 2024.

The antiques and fine art expert has been enjoying some downtime of late while on holiday in the sun after sparking worry among her followers by revealing she'd been in hospital a few months back.

Trevanion has become a firm fan-favourite with Bargain Hunt viewers in recent years, racking up 47.9 Instagram followers and 49.4 followers on X.

And it's on social media where Trevanion announced her latest career update, reuniting with fellow Bargain Hunt favourites and antique experts Charlie Ross and Philip Serrell.

Alongside a series of snaps from her latest sun-soaked getaway, Trevanion detailed in the accompanying caption: "I am not in Hoddesdon… but I will be on the 20th June @thespotlighthoddesdon with my friends #CharlieRoss and @philip_serrell_auctioneers #PhilipSerrell for our @antiquesontour theatre tour!"

"Come and join us for an evening of antiques anecdotes and tales of life beyond the rostrum!"

Serrell also shared the exciting news with his X followers, posting a video alongside Trevanion and Ross.

Before long, Trevanion's Instagram followers flooded the comments section of the update with their excitement at seeing her back at work.

One Instagram user penned: "This is a really lovely picture of you christinatrevanion I hope you are ok."

"Enjoy the last few days in the sun, you deserve it. Charging the batteries for a hectic time is the best discipline to adopt," a second added.

"A well deserved break Christina," a third similarly weighed in.

Trevanion followed up her update with another post on Wednesday where she detailed just how she's been unwinding while abroad.

"Like mint sauce to lamb… red currant jelly to ham… marmalade to toast… this wonderful book has been the perfect accompaniment to my holiday," she shared alongside a snap of her enjoying her new book by author James Braxton.

She added: "Thank you @jamesbraxtonofficial ‘Barty - A tale of a stolen bronze’... if you love food and antiques - this book is for you!"

Trevanion's social media updates have become a bit of a rarity in recent weeks after she revealed at the end of February that she'd been admitted to hospital.

The Bargain Hunt star didn't detail why she'd had to receive treatment, but sparked concern when she penned at the time: "Adieu February and good riddance frankly!

"An unexpected hospital stay meant an unusual opportunity to catch up on some good reading. Safe to say I was not a patient patient…

"But thanks to the TLC of some incredible nurses (you know who you are!) I am now back in fine fettle.

"Roll on blustery March, your lighter nights and slightly longer days…. Anyone else longing for some warmer weather??"

Fans can purchase tickets to see Trevanion and her fellow experts on tour now.
