The 2024 Baftas (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) kicked off on Sunday evening, with all of its usual glitz and glamour as the year's films were celebrated.
Actor David Tennant landed the hosting gig this year, and while fans applauded his presenting, he left some distracted as he donned an interesting outfit.
Former Doctor Who star Tennant, 52, made a lively entrance with his dog as he ditched the traditional black tie outfit for a loud green and gold suit.
Later in the show as he continued to introduce the famous faces handing out the Baftas, he wore a kilt and a tight black and silver blazer-style jacket.
It didn't take long for fans on X, formerly Twitter, to comment on the dazzling suit. One wrote: "David Tennant wearing my Mum’s night out jacket from 1986 is a look. #BAFTAs."
"WTF is David Tennant wearing #BAFTAs," another asked while a third penned: "I couldn’t care less about the kilt, but that jacket #DavidTennant is wearing does absolutely nothing for him @BAFTA."

Another person commented: "Well that’s certainly an outfit that David Tennant’s wearing."
"David Tennant looks like a Matador #BAFTAs," another shared. However, others praised the look and enthused over Tennant's style.
"David Tennant looks amazing at the baftas," one viewer remarked as another added: "Looking pretty sharp @David_Tennant. Now I can't unsee the 14th Doctor wearing that suit." (sic)
Presenting the awards from the Royal Festival Hall in London, Tennant took over from last year's hosts Alison Hammond and Richard E. Grant.

He opened the show with a comic skit involving his dog and actor pal Michael Sheen.
The jokey clip also featured Georgia Tennant, Stanley Tucci, Tom Hiddleston, Himesh Patel and Dame Judi Dench as the presenter desperately searched for someone to dogsit Sheen's pooch, "Bark Ruffalo".
Everyone ended up refusing him so he walked into the awards room with the dog in his arms before passing his pet over to Sheen, who was sat in the audience.
"Never work with animals or Michael Sheen," he joked as he took to the stage while the audience laughed and beamed over the dog.

Tenannt's opening quips included references about Saltburn, Oppenheimer and the Barbie movie.
He joked that he'd like to talk about Saltburn but that the awards were "pre-watershed," so decided not to.
He then walked around and talked to members of the star-studded audience, joking around with the likes of Bradley Cooper.
