Sir Brian May has been labelled a "hoarder" by wife Anita Dobson as she shared one of her husband's hobbies.

The former EastEnders legend talked about her Queen star husband being a fan of sci-fi franchise Star Wars, detailing the collectables he has always enjoyed assembling.

Dobson, 75, reflected on how her husband of 25 years May has always been a "big collecter".

She explained the legendary guitarist likes to purchase two of everything, buying "a packaged one and one that he can have for the grandkids."

"He's bought quite a lot," the actress continued, adding: "It's eased off a bit, as he's gone through life.

"His favourite is the little green guy, he loves Yoda."

"I always think I’ve got to have a clear out, and a lot of my clothes go to the local hospice. But there’s so much stuff," Dobson continued.

Speaking to Music News, she went on to label her husband as a "hoarder," explaining: "The way I look at it, my husband is a hoarder and I'm a semi-hoarder.

"I try to lessen the accumulation of stuff that comes in.

"My husband is really clever so any little things that come in that you think are useless he will go, 'No, no, don’t get rid of that because it might come in useful.'"

Fans will be pleased to learn the actress confirmed that May has kept all the memorabilia from his Queen days, including outfits, records and one-off releases.

Dobson recently shared a welcome health update about her husband, who suffered a stroke last year.

May experienced a sudden and frightening health scare in September when he lost control of his left arm "out of the blue."

He was rushed to Frimley Hospital in Surrey by ambulance, complete with "blue lights flashing, the lot - very exciting," as he later described it.

Following his admission to hospital, doctors diagnosed May as having suffered what he termed a "minor" stroke.

Speaking recently, Dobson detailed how their Christmas went as she gave an update on her husband's health.

She explained the musician's health is now "stable" and that he has "never been happier," despite 2025 being "up and down" so far.

"The start of the year has been up and down. We both had the flu but we took the kids to Lapland. 15 of them," she commented.

She continued: "Brian is stable now. Brian has never been happier since we moved.

"For me it's been a curveball as I'm a London girl born and bred so going to the countryside to a house that needs a lot of work was a bit of a shock.

"It makes you realise that at any minute it could be you. You don’t have to necessarily be old, it could be anyone," The Sun reports.
