British actress Angela Thorne has died at the age of 84, her family has confirmed.
Angela's son Rupert Penry-Jones, 52, who is also an actor, confirmed his mother's death.
In a statement, he said: “The actress Angela Thorne died peacefully at her home on the 16th of June. She was 84 years old.
“She was the beloved wife of Peter Penry Jones, and is survived by her two sons Rupert and Laurie Penry Jones and her grandchildren, Florence, Peter, Giorgio and Delilah.

She played Marjory Frobisher in the BBC sitcom opposite Penelope Keith from 1979 to 1981.
Angela later made several appearances in long-running shows such as Midsomer Murders.

Angela trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
She later performed in repertory seasons.

Angela appeared alongside Death In Paradise’s Ralf Little, Grass actor Simon Day and Gregory’s Girl actor John Gordon Sinclair.
Rupert followed in his mother's footsteps, with performances as Adam Carter in Spooks and DI Joseph Chandler in Whitechapel.
Angela's other son Laurence Penry-Jones is also an actor.
Her husband Peter Penry-Jones, who also appeared in To The Manor Born, died of bowel cancer in 2009 at the age of 70.
