Brave Amy Dowden has given fans an open and honest account of her ongoing battle with breast cancer in her latest update.
The Strictly star is beginning chemotherapy after discovering "another type" of cancer following her breast cancer diagnosis.
In a post to her Instagram story, an emotional Dowden shared a snap of herself in tears as she sat in her hospital bed awaiting the procedure.
Dowden could be seen wearing a cold cap which helps reduce blood flow to the scalp and help minimise hair loss during chemotherapy treatments.
She penned: "I hardly slept. Broke down into tears as soon as I got in the room.
"Port has been a success. Cold cap on. So far coping and not as bad as I thought with cold cap.

"But just wishing this wasn't happening to me," Dowden admitted.
She continued: "Nurses here are just incredible. Thank you NHS.
"And I've got my fellow pink sister sat by my side and made sure I walked through the door this morning," Dowden added before tagging her pal in the snap.
The pro dancer followed her emotional snap up with another picture from her hospital bed, this time with a cup of tea.
Reassuring fans, she wrote: "Got my tea which makes me feel better.
"Just feeling very emotional today mixed with nerves and fear but like my lovely nurse has said, I just need to think of the end goal.
"I've always set dreams and goals in life, I guess none like this one (always dancer related), but I'm going to see it like this."
Dowden soon revealed she's managed to get through the treatment as she shared an update a few hours later.
With a smile etched on her face, Dowden wrote: "Absolute brain freeze but not long left!"
Dowden has been inundated with support in recent days after she revealed she'd be sharing regular updates with her fanbase in order to raise awareness.

One person who's been vocal in sending their well wishes is fellow Strictly pro Dianne Buswell who published a post on her own page dedicated to Dowden.
With Dowden undergoing the major treatment, Buswell penned: "Sending our welsh dragon every single bit of love, energy , determination, healing vibes and more.
"I know today is a big day for you but knowing you you will be (rrrrrrrreeaady) in your welsh accent to see the light at the end of all of this ,ring that bell 🔔 and be back dancing with your strictly fam.
"We are all your biggest cheer leaders and we all care and love you so very much @amy_dowden," Buswell signed off.
Dowden was first diagnosed with aggressive stage three breast cancer in May after she found a lump while preparing for her honeymoon with husband Ben Jones.
However, last month, she revealed doctors have found "another type" of cancer which has meant she's also undergone an operation, a mastectomy and received fertility treatment.
