The couple from the beloved Our Yorkshire Farm series opened up about the breakdown of their marriage

Amanda Owen was thrown into the public eye in 2018 when Our Yorkshire Farm debuted on screens, with "the Yorkshire Shepherdess," her husband Clive and their nine children's unique lifestyle at Ravenseat Farm suddenly in the spotlight.

However, fame came at a price and Amanda, 49 and husband Clive, 68, announced their separation in 2022 after more than two decades of marriage. Reflecting on what went on behind-the-scenes, Amanda quashed speculation by insisting there weren't "any secrets" between her and her ex.

The stars of the hit Channel 5 show stunned fans two years ago when they revealed they'd be going their separate ways, which also meant the end of their series.

While the parents-of-nine tried to maintain a dignified silence following their initial statement, rumours soon began to swirl, with trolls accusing Amanda of having had an affair.

Clive recently admitted he shouldered a lot of the blame for his marriage breakdown, confessing he'd been jealous of his wife's growing fame.

In another interview, the pair talked about the toll some of the public assumptions and accusations had taken, and insisted many of the rumours couldn't have been further from the truth.

Amanda and Clive are both currently single but have each dated other people since their split. However, it was Amanda's former relationship that gained public attention and scrutiny.

"We both saw other people. I knew about Clive’s girlfriend and we would tease each other," Amanda explained.

Speaking to The Sun, she added: "There were never any secrets. We've been open and honest with the children, too."

On the false rumours that followed their separation, she recalled: "At one point it was said I was being 'comforted' by a Channel 5 cameraman, which is completely untrue.

"I'd joke with the kids about my supposed fling, asking them which one it would be. I just get through it with humour, even though I might be crying inside."

On whether she has a new man if her life following her more recent split from ex boyfriend Robert Davies, Amanda admitted: "It's just me and my horse now. I'm done, thank you very much."

It comes soon after Amanda explained in a separate interview how Clive had been in the know about her recent relationship all along.

Speaking recently to the Daily Mail, she commented: "What he [Davies] offered me was conversation rather than confrontation, and Clive knew about it from the very beginning."

Detailing the reasons for their split, she added: "Rob and I were both shattered by the way the media pursued us and reported it and as a result, Rob and I are no longer together or in touch."

Last week, Clive explained how he became "difficult" following Amanda's sudden popularity from the public.

"I wanted to keep her to myself and for her not to leave the farm," he told the publication.

"That's really when the relationship started to go bad, I suppose. I was jealous, and I was difficult to deal with," he continued.

The pair describe themselves as "separated, but wholly united" in co-parenting their nine children.
