The couple's new show, Our Farm Next Door, will air from Monday on More4

Amanda and Clive Owen are making a TV return this week following the sudden ending of their Channel 5 hit, Our Yorkshire Farm, which came to a close due to the pair deciding to split.

Yorkshire Shepherdess Amanda, 50, will be reunited on-screen with Clive, 69, in Our Farm Next Door, which will see the former couple and their nine children fixing up a derelict farmhouse.

The pair's split was very public, but the duo has found a way to keep things civilised for their children as well as continuing to work at Ravenseat Farm.

Speaking to Lorraine Kelly on her ITV show on Monday, Amanda reflected on her marriage breakdown as she heartbreakingly noted: "You don't always get the happy ending".

The two had been married for 22 years when they announced in 2022 they'd split, meaning the show, which followed the family as they navigated life in one of the most remote areas of the UK, would be cancelled.

"You know, you don't always get the happy ending that you want and things go wrong but that's life, isn't it?" Amanda commented as she chatted to the Scottish presenter.

She went on to candidly admit: "We've got a lot of room and we've got a lot of distractions, there's just so much going on.

"I mean first and foremost, we're farming trying to keep everything going and in a way, it's another diversification, we have fingers in so many different pies that it's just unbelievable."

She did admit it could be "tough" at times before sharing: "There is enough work to go around times a zillion, so actually it's working out really well.

"I say working out really well, it's tough don't get me wrong, to spin all of the plates and keep everything going in the right direction.

"It's hard but do you know what, I feel like that is why this programme is relatable, that's what people have always enjoyed and loved about watching us."

Owen concluded: "You know, you don't always get the happy ending that you want and things go wrong but that's life isn't it and that's what it's all about.

"It's how you get through it, it's how you negotiate it. So I'm hoping people enjoy a taste of the countryside and watching us and the kids."

Our Farm Next Door marks a new chapter for the family, with the project aiming to build a new legacy for the nine Owen children.

Opening up about working with her ex-husband again, Amanda explained: "I am proud of where we have got to."

Speaking to the Mirror, the farmer famously known as the Yorkshire Shepherdess continued: "Life throws you some funny curve balls, but it's how you overcome them and move forward.

"It's about building the blocks again."

However, she went on to admit: "But don't get me wrong, we have our moments and our differences of opinion!"

When asked who was in charge of the project, Amanda told the publication: "That depends on who is up at the property.

"I don't know if it is a blessing or a curse but there is no connectivity around there, you have to walk to get to it because the track up to it is so bad."
