The former Strictly professional has had four claims made against him due to his 'militant' training techniques

Amanda Abbington has hit back at an anonymous account which has cropped up and urged others who have worked with Giovanni Pernice to "come forward" to add to the ongoing investigation into his conduct.

Abbington - known for her role in Sherlock - left Strictly Come Dancing during week five of the series last year and initially claimed that she was "unable to continue" due to "personal reasons".

However, she later claimed she had been "diagnosed with mild PTSD after Strictly for several reasons" and has since gone on to describe her former dance partner as "nasty" and "awful".

After the claims had been made, Pernice spoke out and vehemently denied the allegations, vowing to clear his name with the help of London law firm Schillings - blasting the "untrue stories".

Since Abbington, three more former partners of the 33-year-old have come forward to issue their grievances against Pernice, with one claiming they would walk away from their training sessions in "floods of tears" - another adding they were "bruised and blue".

Now, an anonymous account has been created over the last couple of days on an industry forum, urging others who have worked with the Italian dancer in the past to "come forward", adding: "This is crucial in supporting Amanda's case."

Some publications have reported that the account is a friend of Abbington's, however, according to The Mirror a representative denied having any knowledge of the request and whoever is posting the request is doing it "without our knowledge".

According to the Sun, an anonymous member of the TV Mindset, a social media forum for TV industry workers, said on the forum: "It is important to hear as many accounts as possible from others who were treated inappropriately, had grievances, or potentially identify others that were.

"This is crucial in supporting Amanda's case, as well as potentially anyone else's. It is also ultimately to support all freelancers and the industry as a whole by standing up to such practices."

The poster reportedly assured anyone coming forward: "Sources would be protected," with the outlet reporting that an email for responses was given as scdallies@gmail.com - which is believed to be short for "Strictly Come Dancing Allies".

When approached for a comment, Abbington's representatives told The Mirror: "Whoever is doing this is outside of our knowledge. First time we are hearing about it."

GB News has contacted Abbington's representatives for a comment.

Due to the ongoing investigation - which is set to continue into the new year - it has been reported that stars of the BBC dancing competition have been banned from discussing the ongoing events - something that Dianne Buswell and Vito Coppola awkwardly dodged.

Pernice was left off of the official Strictly 2024 line-up shortly after it was revealed he had been axed from the show - but many of his co-stars have continued to publicly support him.

Karen Hauer, Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse, Kai Widdrington, Lauren Oakley and Debbie McGee are just some of these who have continued to support Pernice, with Ballas recently telling The Mirror: "I know he is a hard worker.

"I don't condone bullying on any path but also I don't believe gossip and what you read in the newspapers because things get escalated and they are blown way out of proportion and it can turn into a great big snowball.

"So my feeling for Giovanni is, let them do this investigation or whatever it is they are doing and the truth will come out. So we don’t judge anybody until we know absolutely 100 per cent. I won’t pass on the gossip unless I know 100 per cent it is true.

"I have never ever, ever experienced any ill will or bad feeling or bad sportsmanship or rudeness from him. He will be missed."
